Vera

Vera – the perfect extension to Jack Vera, based on Jack, is a perfect supplement especially for small and mid size Tour Operator or agencies creating tailor-made journeys. It provides an excellent performance at a reasonable price. You can define allotments, seasons, purchase and sales prices in any way and variety. Due to the modular design almost any allotment can be administered as for example:

• flight
• hotel
• bus
• cruises
• transfers
• individual operators

Because of the most recent Windows technology and the clear structure only little training is necessary.

Attention:

Vera is an additional module of Jack and it is based on Jack. Therefore all of Jack´s functions are also available in Vera. This is why we would like to ask you to take notice of the Jack prospectus, too.
This Vera information is a supplement to the Jack information and describes the additional characteristics exceeding Jack. Allotments An unlimited amount of allotments can be entered. You can term the allotments at pleasure. Bookings can be made per night or per day just as required. Direct transfer services can be allocated to the allotments. A clearly structured entry mask enables you to determine how many allotments should be available for which days.
You decide if overbooking is possible and you can put time limits.

Code chart

Codes you have entered once can be re-used for any services because of the code chart. The entry and the definition are made according to your requirements. You yourself set the limit with the products you offer. You decide yourself where the codes should be applied in the booking mask and which combinations are possible for a service.

Vera booking mask

You book allotments in a Toma standard mask which most employees in the tourism industry are already familiar with. This, too, is favourable for a short training period. The Vera booking mask supports the quick and comfortable work flow. Many minor help functions gurantee an overall view. Services can be combined and composed in any variety. Client data are taken from the booking mask definitions with a click or they are automatically entered in the client master data if they do not yet exist. Services can be changed or cancelled with a few steps. Purchase and sales prices and agency commissions are calculated automatically. You get important hints from the allotment master data already when you enter a booking. Clearly structured lists show vacancies and the dates which can be booked.

Sales and purchase prices

Vera enables you to enter as many seasons as you like. Within these season periods you can allocate an unlimited amount of e.g. types of rooms, flights or cabins and various extra charges. The sales prices are divided into seasons. Prices can be defined as comprehensive prices, per day, per night, per passenger, according to the number of participants or per booking. In every price category various discounts are available. For the purchase prices the same possibilites are at your disposal. Purchase prices, too, can be allocated directly to the season periods. A foreign currency module is more then helpful to convert the net rates from i.e. £ to € automatically.

Bus plan / bus administration

Vera enables bus Tour Operators to adminster their coaches perfectly. A graphic bus plan, a semi-graphic display and various lists are at your disposal. You can adjust the graphic bus plan individually to your coaches and you can define as many different buses as required. This guarantees a perfect overall view.You can display the participants in the bus plan already.You can define routes and locations where the passengers get on the bus. Boarding lists and timetables/schedules can be displayed or printed with a mouse click.
If required you can also generate such lists as an export which your drivers can then take along with them by an electronic device, e.g. with a palm or a Windows CE unit.
When you enter the booking you can allocate specific seats to your clients. It is possible to change the seating later.Should a bus planned for a route not be available for example because of a breakdown you can allocate a different bus to the route with a click.

Cabin plan / cruise administration

The cruise administration enables you to administer cruises perfectly. You can enter as many cabin plans as required and allocate an unlimited amount of cabins to the ships. It is not only possible to take categories and decks into consideration but also to adminster tables and seats.When you enter the booking you can see at once which cabins are not yet occupied and you can immediately allocate a cabin to your client. Half cabins can also be adminstered this way.The booking and the administration of excursions become easy, prices are calculated automatically. If required you can generate e.g. excursion lists as an export .
Thus your tour guide has the possibility of taking these lists along with him on a palm or a Windows CE unit.

Hotel and flight administration

Because of the modular design you can administer hotel allotments of unlimited numbers. It is you who decides which room types are available in which hotel and in what number. Comfortable occupancy lists and vacancy displays guarantee a perfect overall view. If required it is also possible to administer half double rooms. You can easily integrate extra charges or discounts e.g. for sea view or full board. Flight allotments, too, can be entered without limit. You can allocate times of departure and arrival and possible days of departure to the flight vacancies already.
Flight number data such as for example the flight number can be entered in the allotment as well as different cabin classes. A thorough flight analysis shows the occupancy rate of the different destinations and dates at a glance.

Performance

Vera unifies the code table, the purchase and sales prices and the allotments. Here you can determine which allotments and services are available and possible for a journey. The possible ways of travelling are also defined in the service. You can define specific texts for invoices and vouchers per service. You can determine if e.g. hotel services can only be booked together with a flight or also if clients are allowed to travel independantly.

Collective treatment / collective change

The collective treatment enables you to contact all participants of a service in one go. If for example flight times are changed a letter to all participants can be generated automatically. Documents such as invoices, too, can be generated for all participants of a services with a click. The collective treatment offers you many possiblilities of contacting all participants of a service at once. It is also possible to generate boarding cards and tickets collectively.
Stock administration is also possible. It is only necessary to actualize changes in flight times once, Vera automatically changes all relevant bookings.
In the collective treatment allotments can be increased or reduced by a wizard. Expiry dates and time limits can be changed quickly and easily.

Changes of catalogues

A certain time is required for setting up a catalogue because as many possibilitites as possible should be taken into consideration. This is why it is so important that changing from one catalogue to another should be easy. With Vera you can have as many catalogues as requied. An existing catalogue can be copied into another catalogue with just one mouse click. All information of the original catalogue are taken over so that only different or supplementary data must be changed.

Service supplier invoices – accountancy

If required you can use Vera´s integrated financial accountancy. Its characteristics are described in the Jack prospectus in detail. The invoices of your service suppliers can be allocated and booked in Vera. The entered purchase and sales prices are taken into account and suggested.

Internet interface

Vera has an internet interface so that your journeys are available in the internet as well. Thus you can offer internet booking of your jouneys. An inquiry made on your homepage has direct access to the entered allotments. There are no limits to the design of your homepage. It is you who decides which facilities are created and which codes are used. You must only coordinate them with the codes used in the allotment administration.

Analyses / lists

Vera offers a great variety of standard analyses and lists, among others different lists of participants such as departure lists, return lists, lists of stay and passenger lists for flights. Transfer lists, room lists, timetables, seatings, cabin lists, boarding lists, vacancy and stock lists are also available. These lists can be limited and structured according to various criteria. It is often necessary to adapt standard lists to the individual requirements of the operator. This is no problem because of our own output language BOL (Bewotec output language). This output language enables us to react to even the most extravagant client requirements and makes it possible to implement them.
Apart from the lists, various analyses can be set up such as among others travel analyses, cabin anayses, flight analyses and tour analyses.
All lists and analyses can be displayed or printed in various forms. If required it is possible to make many lists available in export form, which can then be used for further treatment or on a palm or Windows CE pocket PC.
