Since 1988, BEWOTEC has successfully supported its clients in all necessary IT processes in order to help them remain competitive through innovation. Today it is an independent company with 120 employees and almost 3,500 customers throughout Europe.

Milestones

1988
Michael Becher develops Jack, the first Windows-based mid- and back-office system for travel agencies in Europe.

1998
Inspired by the success of Jack, DaVinci is developed. DaVinci is a reservation and distribution platform for tour operators.

2002
More than 2,500 travel agencies across Europe are working with Jack. The solution is officially recommended by Amadeus; Galileo certifies Jack as a Global Solution Partner.

2005
DaVinci is launched in version 5 as an SQL-based and freely scalable application for any type of tour operator.

2012
myJACK enters the market. It is the first and only complete solution for travel agencies that incorporates a free CRS and which is firmly linked to the process management.

2013
BEWOTEC develops the open travel data standard OTDS. The hub and player technology that processes the OTDS format will revolutionize the dynamic packaging of travel components from now on.

2016
flexStore is the new web-based tour operator software that allows to start off dynamic travel offers in less than an hour – some destination regions even taking only a few minutes.

2019
Together with a DRV project group, BEWOTEC is driving the development of the STRING booking standard. STRING simplifies the booking of travel products for travel agencies and optimizes the consultancy services.
